My typical fitting customer achieves from 10 to 40 yards more distance off the tee.

What does this mean? Lower scores and more fun on the golf course.
Longer tee shots in the fairway means shorter approach shot to the green
Longer irons shots means even less club on those shorter approach shots to the greens.
More Fairways hit, more greens hit and closer to the hole. If you gain 20 yards off the tee that is two less clubs to the green. If you gain 20 yards with your 5 iron that is two less clubs. If you hit driver and 5 iron on a par 4 hole you might be hitting driver 9 iron after the fitting on the same hole.
